Mair Rees-Davies A.R.C.M. Dip.Mus. Rome

Mair has over 30 years experience of working with children and youngsters having taught for many years in London Schools.
Her career began at the Royal College of Music and Opera School London where she gained her ARCM singing diploma in performing and teaching. During her studies at the R.C.M she sang the leading role in 'Ahmal and the Night Visitors' in the presence of the composer Gian Carlo Menotti, the Queen and the late Queen Mother. While at the R.C.M. Mair was awarded the Dorothy Silk.. Clara Butt ..and London Society Prizes.
In 1973 she was awarded a two year Italian Government Scholarship to study with the late International Baritone Paolo Silveri at the Conservatorio di Musica S.Cecilia Rome where she gained her Dip Mus in Opera and Drama. She is fluent in Italian as well as in her native Welsh.
Television appearances include Glan Hafren HTV. A Mind To Kill and Pobol y Cwm S4C. Eastenders Casualty and Killing Me Softly BBC1. The Citadel BBC Wales. Concert performances throughout UK Italy and USA.. CYFLE TV : Course in Directing Production and Camera Work..
She has also featured in the popular Welsh S4C Programme Cwpwrdd Dillad ( My Wardrobe) www.s4c.co.uk/cwpwrdddillad .. and also adjudicated in the Welsh Can You Sing Competition
Mair has also been involved as Musical Director with various London Musical Charity events working alongside Showbusiness Celebrities:
Michelle Collins ( Cindy Beale Eastenders ) Julian Fellows ( Kilwillie Monarch of the Glen) and Chef Brian Turner CBE raising money for Maggie's London Cancer Centre and The Anthony Nolan Trust.
At the invitation of Maestro Luigi Petrozziello she is often asked to listen to aspiring young Operatic Singers at the Conservatorio di Musica S. Cecilia Rome.
Following Primadonna's success in placing children in top West End Shows ie. Evita .. Sound of Music Les Miserables ..Wizard of Oz ..Oliver and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang UK Tour 2010 .. Mair will again be holding auditions in London during 2010 searching for new talent to represent and put forward for auditions in London West End Musicals.
Mair runs an extensive private teaching practice at the 'STUDIO' in West London and a number of her students past and present have sung in West End roles. Students also travel from as far as Wales for coaching lessons in preparation for London Music Colleges and West End Musical auditions.
She continues to give vocal coaching at a London Preparatory school and is Managing Director and Artist Manager of the London based Primadonna Music Agency who represent and manage young singers and emerging new talent.
